I think you have a pretty good idea since your a resleeve that you don't have to progress that fast...... just extend it till your comfortable. Nobody ever got scolded for slower progression.

I do have another observation..... I could be wrong, but with the brief explanation you gave about the top third stretching.

It just "might" be that your original sleeve was made to "tight" in the middle. This is a common mistake with some surgeons as it does not promote proper directional food flow. The result is "back-up" for lack of a better term, which can mean several things. Increased reflux and pressure to the top third of the sleeve.... hence, the stretch. Or the original sleeve was just made to large at the top 3rd. to begin with. These are just guesses from what I've learned.

But, what ever the cause it would be in your best interest to not only slow your progression and get used to eating slow softer wetter foods in quantities that are under your sleeve capacity to avoid future pressures to the top 3rd. of your sleeve.

Hope this helps.

I'd go with what Frisco said. I went fairly fast from liquids to puree to mushies to soft foods and by 3 - 4 weeks I was on a normal diet. But with a resleeve I would definitely go gently on the progression.

Since you are a resleeve, your esophagus is already conditioned to regular food.  My Dr. told me to progress as tolerated since I was a revision.   Take it easy of course, but don't worry you will be fine.
