Virtual Support Group Next Steps
Keith,
I love the way you have thought this out. I've had experience with Go To Meeting and Skype. My brother set up Go to Meeting for our large family meetings, but it was audio only. We also tried Skype, and it provided visuals. I purchased a year subscription so we could do more than 3 people at a time. I think they have a business plan that would have more features. I'm willing to support this with $$ donation if necessary. The other experience we encountered, which we had to learn the hard way, was the necessity for everyone to mute themselves unless they were speaking. We had some funny experiences....like who just flushed a toilet, etc, but sometimes it was exasperating...but that is just working out logistics.

google hangout is probably the best bet imo, it's free and everyone already has a google account to use. can also setup a circle for it for updates and times so everyone is sure to get the info (might miss on forums)
Keith, thank you for putting in the time and effort to do this. I know something like this would be very beneficial for me. I'm looking forward to participating:)

Hey Keith!! VERY excited about your fabulous idea!!! Another advantage of Google Hangouts is that you can have visual or if people don't have cameras they can listen and talk (only) AND in either case, they can type in (which may be helpful for the Q&A if you have one person moderating...
Let me know if I can be of help!! Awesome idea!!
Keith, brilliant idea. I am spending my day today on the combination of GoToMeeting + Skype for a series of user interviews I am doing.
I have also used Netmeeting, Adobe connect, joinme, and GoToWebinar in the past, as well.
Format ideas are great. It seems like you've got a good mixture of "view" and "do".
Can't wait to see how this evolves. Please ping me if you need a hand in any way. I'll be going out for surgery and have 6 weeks off work - I may likely be bored by then, lol.
