Why did I do this

My turn to vent, I am 3 weeks out, have not lost anything in over a week, am sick of pureed food, and have a week to go before I can start soft solids. I don't feel like I can do much of anything away from home, because what do I eat on the road, or out on the lake fishing or anything. Would like to go see some friends that just opened a bar, but can't even enjoy a drink,( what fun is it to go to a bar and drink water). I know, Oh boohoo, and then again, WHY DID I DO THIS ? Because I was sick of being the "fat one" in the crowd.

take it easy it will be better in a few weeks when you can eat some normal food, maybe some nice meatballs in a red sauce

It will all be worth it when you get down to goal and when your the thin one in the crowd

get a wide mouth thermos  and take some egg salad , or soup , and there is always a protein shake to the lake and catch a bunch of nice fish , the lake will relax you

don't think of what you can't eat be positive about all, the food you can eat

Hi - sorry you have hit the dreaded 3 week stall.  That does really f with your head and your heart.  But it will pass, the lbs will drop and you will feel much better again (I promise!)

The first month is the absolute worst - you are healing and not feeling great, your hormones are being released as your fat burns, and the diet is super restrictive - so you are getting all the down sides at one time - it's the perfect storm!

But you just have one more short little week and then your are done with that phase of your life forever!  Then it is all down hill from there!  The scale will be dropping and so will your pants because your size will be rapidly dropping too!

If you want to go to the bar and see your friend - go!  Take some Mio or Crystal Lite and have them make you a nice "mixed drink" that you can sip on and enjoy socializing without any guilt.  Getting out will do you a world of good!

Great - laughing is good for the soul and for the healing!  You are gonna do great (but you will have some royally sucky moments along the way!)

Now go have that awesome crystal lite ****tail at the bar!

I felt the same way the first month. I was a hot mess! It gets so much better when the restrictions are lifted from your diet. It sucks not to be able to have a drink, but think how you will feel great the next day while others are battling a hangover!

Deep breath... it is completely normal. All of it.

My longest stall was right around where you are and lasted 20 day. At the time, it drove me a little crazy, but I've had MANY stalls along the way... HUGS

Ya know... go to the bar with your friends. Enjoy the water, but enjoy the company more.

When you're up to your ass in alligators, it's difficult to remind yourself that your initial objective was to drain the swamp!

If it feels good, do it!  And if it smells good, eat it!
