Thanks Dude!!!

Just answered the other post too...I got 'em!

But I looked them up on line and I don't think I was doing them right. Tomorrow I'm going to slow them down and count to 3 on the way down, and count to 3 on the way up and try to hold it to feel the burn. Probably more effective that way?

Here are a couple videos that show you the right technique. You can do these with or without weight:

I know I can't do these at this time. Are there other options for someone who isn't able to do these yet?

Absolutely. Sit down and stand up from you couch 10 times per commercial break. That is effectively a squat. You can do what are called bump squats. Get a chair and set it in the middle of the room. Put your feet in front like you are going to sit down. As son as your but touches the seat, stand back up. Basically if you can sit down in a chair and get back up, you can do squats.

NO EXCUSES!!!! You can graduate to weights when you can do 200 body weight squats.

No squats for me today as I did the "300" workout yesterday and am recuperating today. Did manage an hour on the elliptical.

I do squats in the pool, since I have bad knees, and just aggravated them going too low out of the pool.  There is a ramp leading down into the pool, so I stand on the ramp (which has handrails too -- just in case!).  I stand facing up the ramp, so my heels are lower, and I don't topple headfirst into the water!  LOL!  When I squat, the water is about to my shoulders.

But it's great -- the water supports my weight, and gives me the ability to "work up" to doing the squats out of the water - which I could do before my little problem last week -- probably take about a week of "jus****er' and then I should be OK.

I never thought I'd be able to do squats -- but starting in the pool really worked!
