Trader Joe's
The ONLY place we shop in my house is Trader Joes! I went for the first time yesterday to shop and this is what I picked up for myself
Babybell Cheese (we already have their string cheese so I didnt need that)
Plain Greek Yogurt
no sugar added blueberry preserves (not sure if I can have these or not, but the carbs were less than 15 so I may try with Greek yogurt)
Their Chicken Noodle Soup with vegetables (the one in the box) (I pull out the noodles and then puree the chicken and vegetables, then strain since I am still on phase one. So Yummy!!)
Low calorie cranberry juice (for the days I just cant handle anymore water!)
When I am in phase 2 I will go back and get cottage cheese, egg white salad (the spicey one is my favorite!!), some of their Greek dipping sauces (they have a bunch and they all look amazing!), also their soy chorizo. Im not sure if it will be soft enough with my eggs in phase 2, but if not then I will be happy to have it again in Phase 3. Made it for the family on Fathers Day and it smelled so delish!
When I am in phase 3, I plan to get their wraps (the buffalo chicken is my favorite!), I love their turkey meatballs, they have these new buffalo chicken meatballs that we picked up yesterday that I cant wait to try, chicken sausages (we love the spicy ones), chicken breakfast sausage, jerky
Oh my, I miss Trader Joes food right now! :) One more wee****il Phase 2!! :)
My recent purchases have included:
egg white salad
roasted red pepper and artichoke tampenade
pesto
organic tomato basil marinara sauce
a hothouse cucumber to slice up for my water
high potency multivitamin
cottage cheese (their full fat cottage cheese is amazing)
jumbo sea scallops
coho salmon
Applegate natural lunch meat
uncured chicken hotdogs
Before surgery I regularly bought:
almond milk (it tastes the best, but now I get Silk unsweetened because it's lower in calories and carbs)
quinoa (best price I've found)
organic ketchup (better than my precious Heinz)
quattro formaggio (4 cheese) blend
parmesan shredded cheese
nuts (raw almonds, cashews, walnuts, pecans)
kale chips
corn tortillas
fresh and frozen vegetables
roasted red pepper soup
vegetable and lentil soup
ground turkey, sausage, bacon
sea salt and turbinado sugar dark chocolate almonds
And I'll just stop right there, because the list only gets more unhealthy.
Their frozen chili lime burgers are the best! Also, the "just the sauce" turkey bolognese is good. I love that place! I don't live near one but since I work in the city sometimes I stop there on the way home.
