What caught my eye was the percentage of weight loss.  60% at 6 months and 77% at one year.  I want to prove that wrong.  I am 74% at 6 months and would like to be at 100% before my 1 year.  The writer did not list the DS but did the other three procedures.

I agree with the last statement also.  It is not the easy way out, It is the only way out!

Now if all the employers and insurance companies would see the benefit of WLS so we could all get it done!

The comments on the website have my blood boiling.  Just eat less and exercise more - very simple.  Well don't you think we have freakin' tried that already or do you REALLY think we like the way we are before surgery, having to huff and puff getting up and down stairs, not being able to attend certain events because we either physically cannot or we are just embarassed.

Those are the people who don't help while we are trying to lose and help less when we make a life changing decision such as surgery.

I have learned the hard way not to read the comments on articles about WLS. They are generally ignorant and hurtful and make my blood boil as well.

I have told people in my life: try being 150 pounds overweight, then you can judge.

I think not reading the comments on ANY news article posted online is a good practice!  The comments section tends to attract the trolls, IMHO.

I had to speak my mind - couldn't look away! lol. Glad I'm taking the "easy way out".
