I keep reading where everyone includes tea when listing liquids, but what about the caffeine?? I thought we are supposed to avoid caffeine for a while after surgery??

I LOVE unsweetened iced tea, and miss it terribly!! What are your thoughts?

My surgeon told me regular tea was okay.  I too love unsweet iced tea--it's my coffee since I am not a coffee drinker!

My plan is no caffeine also. They have de-caffeinated teas, both regular iced tea and flavored tea. I bought an iced tea maker and use it quite frequently as after surgery I couldn't stand the flavor of Crystal Light. I add in Splenda with fiber.

Decaf iced tea has been my saving grace as I get through these two weeks post op!
