Has anyone had sleeve stretched by Endoscopy procedure?

Hi everyone! My sleeve came out too small and has a stricture. In 3-4 weeks my doctor plans to have me undergo another Endoscopy and he will attempt to stretch my sleeve. We have to wait for my staple line to heal so I'm strictly clear liquids until them. Trust me, I learned the hard way. Tried to get in full liquids (just a few ounces of chocolate shake) and became violently ill because it got stuck!

Thank God I came home with this IV pik line!

Still no regrets because God is able!

Hi,

Sorry you are going through this.  Unfortunately it happened to me.  I had surgery 4/18/13 and had quite a few complications.  I was hospitalized 5 different occasions, even ended up with a feeding tube because I couldn't keep anything down (not even liquids).  They finally did the egd to see if I had a stricture 2 weeks ago and I did have 1, my surgeon ballooned the space a bit and I was finally able to eat and keep food and liquids down.  I just got the feeding tube removed yesterday and am feeling 100% better.  I'm sure it will make you feel better.  Good luck to you and I hope everything goes well.

Bless you!!! I am walking by faith but your post has brought me to tears! I was getting concerned that no one was responding and was feeling alone! I am so thankful that you feel better! No feeding tube for me thus far so I'm counting the blessing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Aww, well I'm glad I could help.  I felt the same as you, that I was alone with these complications.  I even had some regrets at times.  But I kept my faith and feel I am finally past all of it now (2 months post op).  Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or want to talk.  I'll keep you in my prayers.

Yes, I have had it done.
