Ninji Blender
I've killed two Magic Bullets and two regular blenders. Oh and an immersion blender. So far I haven't killed my Ninja. I wasn't too happy with it at first but it's still going which makes me happier with it every day.
The thing is: if you make a shake almost every day with ice, the regular blenders can't cut it. They are okay for occasional use or if you don't always use ice but daily grinding of ice will kill them every time. the Ninja is a professional grade blender specifically designed to chop ice so hopefully it will continue to work for me. It's already outlasted the immersion blender and both Magic Bullets but only one of the regular blenders.

Oh, dear, does this mean that my Magic Bullet is not long destined for this world, MacMadame? How long did each live? I think when this one goes onto its just reward (the trashcan, poor thing!) I will spring for a Ninja.
Maybe you'll be lucky!
My first one hardly lasted at all. And it sort of self-destructed so I had pieces of plastic in my shake but I didn't realize it and I broke a crown! So that was a VERY EXPENSIVE Magic Bullet! It was still pretty new so I returned it as defective and they gave me a new one. That one lasted about 6 months. Then the blade stopped spinning. I tried to find another piece online and I even ordered one off eBay for $15. But it NEVER CAME! Boo! Eventually I threw it all out.

I have an OLD (probably 30 yrs?) Hamilton Beach 14-speed blender. I've replaced the blender container, the gasket, the blade assembly, etc a couple of times, and the motor is still going strong. Although I am not a daily shake drinker, I do make the 'iced' smoothies, iced (protein) capuccinos, etc. I love it.
I have been lusting after the Ninja kitchen system because I foolishly threw out my food processor when the container broke some years ago, instead of buying a new container. At the time, I rarely used my food processor, so............I 86ed it. But every time I think about it, and the price tag, I realize I still probably wouldn't use an actual food processor that often. I love hearing the discussions, though, and I love nifty kitchen gadgets. I think the next purchased one will probably be a 'better' stick blender, for those luscious smooth soups. Thoughts on those?
I bought my Ninja from QVC when I noticed my 2 Magic Bullets weren't cutting it (hahaha, no pun intended) in the ice department. Wow, I can make snow from ice with the Ninja. I love that sucker!!!
