I had one but I returned it. Overall the thing worked great. It can chop ice into water, it's very powerful.. I returned it & got the Magic Bullet instead. That little machine means business. If you want things blended thicker go for the Ninja but if you want things blended smoother than you should try the Magic Bullet.

Hope this helps,
Hilary

I love my ninja. Nice for shakes and other stuff. I love the little individual sized one.

I have a Ninja, too, and love it...I bought it from QVC and got the one with all the attachments and different sized containers to blend in....as of now, though, I've only used the single-serve size...but it has worked well for me and is quite powerful

I bought this one at Walmart and have had it for about one and a half years now.  I use it daily for my protein shakes.  It does great on my frozen strawberries and frozen bananas.

Works extremely well for me.

Nope, but I have this one:

It is pretty awesome.  Crushes and blends ice with no problem.

I have a bullet and was very happy with it..but recently I've notice that it's not breaking down the ice the way it used to..
I think the blades have gotten dull, but there are 2 of us making shakes everyday for the last 6 months, so I think it's to be expected..

I've heard that the BEST blender is the Vitamix but they're very pricey. I think they start at $349 & go all the way up to $800. They're commercial grade blenders. My neighbor has one & she swears by it. She gets up every morning and makes 6 smoothie type drinks for her & the rest of her family.

I did succumb and buy a Vitamix -- a refurbished one from Vitamix.com.  I love it.  I saw here how long the other blenders lasted, and the Vitamix is guaranteed for 7 years (if you buy one from Williams Sonoma -- which of course will be full retail usually -- they guarantee it for life).  So I went for it (I think mine was in the $350 range).

So far, it is a great piece of equipment -- but when you put it on a granite countertop and turn it up to high, it sounds like a 747 landing in the kitchen!
