Here are a couple of pics I found that show pretty good squat form. There was a 3rd front view I left out because I didn't want to be accused of posting gratuitous photos of busty young women.

Years ago- before vsg- I had a trainer who was obsessed with squat form.  It is a whole 'nother level!

well, i just had  to chime in and say that i joined a gym for the first time in my life last week and on Sunday had my second meeting with the trainer who showed me how to do squats...the right way....and  yesterday.... was a killer...my legs and butt were sooo sore...but in a good way...   in the past i would have looked at your post and just thought...yeah, so,  she is just squatting......but now i appreciate it!!

so,  today,   i think its just arms and chest!!

Congrats and yes it may hurt today and maybe even tomorrow but I can assure you the pain is temporary but the strength you gained in your muscle and in your head is forever.

Yes but they are all of these giant meatballs squatting 400+lbs and none of you want to see that. I post pics of women because you need to follow a woman's lead on form.

my trainer/instructor at my kickboxing gym says if you have trouble getting good form, use this little trick.  As you bend down, point your big toes up, it makes you balance more on your heel and therefore achieve good squat form.

I will admit that when trying this, I do sometimes fall backwards lol.  I have zero balance.

band to sleeve revision and loving life!

You do you, and I'll do me

That's a good idea!  I'll have to try that (with a pillow to catch me when I fall lol)

You should do your squats on a smith machine then so you can lean back a little bit. I am going to try this trick because I do tend to rock forward onto the balls of my feet and end up pushing with my calves which are super strong.

For my daughter I was putting 5lb plates under her toes.
