One Bad Meal Won't Make You Fat
Um yea ... seeing both these pics makes me wanna go for pic #1 since the 1 hamburger & super sized fries wont make me fat if I just eat it once ... but then I gotta remember, it's been burger after burger after burger for me pre-op that got me into trouble in the first place!!!
So the 1 veggie meal wont make me skinny? Dammit!!!

WWBD?
the problem is not the 1 bad meal its the second and the third and the forth and so on ,its a slipper road once you start
haver a small peice of just the burger meat and maybe a couple of fries if you must , best if you go with someone that will give you a bite of there and no more
eat it in your birthday suit in front of a mirror with a picture of you high weight taped on it or a picture of you kids looking at you knowing all the great stuff you could not do with them
Well its the 2nd part that was really the point, eating just one good meal or eating good meals just some of the time will not make you skinny. The point is that we got fat eating bad most of the time no matter how good we at the other times. The corollary is also true that if we eat good most of the time and eat bad some of the time we probably won't stay skinny although I have darn sure tried.
Of the six times that I have gained significant weight back (this is before the VSG), I can trace three to a particular meal. You sure that one meal can't make a huge difference? Because I have a different opinion. I believe that one meal, one cookie, one wrong step at the wrong time, can become the first step toward a bad place. I speak from experience.
On the other hand, when I feel good overall and I have a sense of control, than no, one meal can't hurt me. The problem is knowing the difference.
I think you are in a much different place now, as I hope I am too. I was saying earlier in another thread that I have my house stocked in such a way that it is difficult for me to eat off plan at home. I have to leave to misbehave. Not that I am not tempted from time to time and even give in from time to time (probably a bit too much lately), but the key difference is, this is how I want to be now, healthy, thin, fueled with good food. I am not comforted by the bad stuff, I am disturbed by it and bothered when I stray.
But your point is well taken, its easy to go to the dark side.
Never get ****y Keith. This weight loss thing can still kick your butt when you don't expect it. Never take it for granted or let your guard down. You will never be fully safe or cured. Remembering this is your best weapon against regain. I have seen so many people that lose to goal, exercise like crazy.....and then..... one day a few years later.....major regain. It starts with one meal, with one thought that one meal is OK. Listen to voice of doom and gloom, I speak from experience. Stay vigilant and motivated and engaged, not just now, but five years from now too.
