I just want to eat!

I haven't had a day like this in a while. I don't know if its the extra exercise I got in this week or the stressful day I have had but right now I just want to eat. I ate a little bit of yogurt and I am not physically hungry but now I just want to go eat whatever I can get into my mouth. I am not doing that and I won't. I am going to bed in a minute but I wanted to vent.

I know what you mean, I was like that last night.  We had been to a graduation party, I had stayed on plan there, but an hour after we got home I thought I was hungry.  I confess I ate some almonds.  Put my calories up a bit but my carbs and protein stated fine. this is scary for me as that late hight snack has always been a problem for me.  I think I will try to start drinking tea in the evening. Can'f fal back into that bad habit, even with on plan food.

I used to hate days like that.  There was a point where I realized, at least or me, it was just better to eat.  I would fend it off all morning, but if it was still an issue by lunch then I would eat until satiated- and it always took a lot more than normal.  But, once I did it seemed to be the end of it and overall by the end of the day my calories were not too skewed.  I was also careful on those days to have only low calorie snacks around and pre-packed so I couldn't get to crazy.  And some days, well they were just bad days.  Crawled back on the wagon as soon as I could.

It happens.  You will be Ok no matter how it plays out.  Sorry for the rough day.

Just a little advice from a 5 year vet- it only gets worst.  I read a lot of books to help get my head straight.  It's perfectly normal to have days like this or even weeks.  I have them too and more often the farther out from surgery.  Just work on your head issues, and you will do great!

But on the other hand, your body may be trying to tell you something.  I am doing two a days right now and you are absolutely right about exercise affecting your appetite.

Unfortunately, we former fatties, for the most part, are food addicts and always will be.  I love eating and always will, so i re-read my books to keep me focus :)

Hey Summer, I'm also 5 yrs out....and totally get what you're saying. I've upped my protein and exercise which is all good. But the head hunger is crazy at times. May I ask you the names of your books? Any information on the subject would be helpful.

Thanks for the info & stay strong!!!

Well, my go- to book is "Shrink Yourself".  That's my favorite book to get me back on track.  The second book I love is "The Thin Commandments".  I think those two are a great start.  I've read others, but these are enough, for me.

Keep up your great success!
