One Year "Surgy" for Me...........and Something Less Pleasant

Oh my, Elizabeth.......such kind words and how very sweet!  Thank you so much. 

You know, we all fight hard to get to our goals.........what tools we use, what plan we follow -- of little consequence as long as we are doing what is right for ourselves.  Look at your successes!  We are sort of statistical twins, but you have achieved those numbers much faster than I have.  Keep up the great job!

Thank you, too, for the love and prayers.  I keep saying this...........hugs, good thoughts, prayers, and love work wonders.  I gratefully accept all of that and give thanks for having such wonderful people who give their support so generously.

Go on that trip. Go on many more trips. Schedule another cruise.

Most important: LAUGH. Laugh every single day. Watch things that make you laugh, whether it's TV or YouTube or your sweet grandbaby.

I highly recommend Mystery Science Theater 3000. You will laugh so hard you'll need an asthma inhaler. Trust me on this.

If you haven't read The Secret, get it on DVD & audio CD. Listen to it 25 times. Don't stop. Get it into your soul.

WOW!!!   Thank you so much for the healing.  I know our minds can do wonders, so I believe in powers different from Western medicine.  I will, of course, continue to follow my medical team's direction -- can't hurt to double up on healing, right?

Yes, I'm a believer in laughter, too.  My whacky sense of humor helps me laugh daily.  I see comedy in even some very serious issues. 

I will definitely look into The Secret.........thanks for the suggestion!

Can't help but wonder if you are a personification of one of my goddesses of all things green and good! 

So nice to see you have reached your goals...........taking me a lot longer than most to get to mine, but get there, I will!

I am so very proud of you and have loved being a sleeve sister of yours from the start. I am so sorry to hear of the not so good news but you said it well life CAN be good when the poop hits the fan!  Sending you lots of hugs and good vibes and many prayers.  I think of you everyday.  If you every need anything even just to talk I am here.

Italian and Jewish??  Cancer doesn't have a chance of defeating you!

Your inner strength, calm and resolve will see you through this difficult period in your life.  I wish for all of the positive powers in the universe to surround you with healing and love.  Because you are a positive and loving person, you will use those powers wisely and with the help of some good Italian food and kick ass determination, you will prevail.

LOL Mary!  Italian, yes -- Jewish -- kind of an "honorary" thing.........many, many friends who are and I lived in a Jewish dorm in college and most of my bosses through the years are Jewish.  What I find amazing is how many traditions in both are similar.

Thank you for your generous words.  I embrace all the love and good thoughts and prayers that come my way.  We all need each other -- life gets strange sometimes, so we must be kind when given the opportunity.

I appreciate your blessing..............with that and my outstanding medical team, and all the wonderful people here and on MFP, I have resources to get me through this!
