Approved! And Surgery Date!

ERMAGERD I found out today that I have been approved! Tomorrow I start my preop diet, next week I have about a million appointments, and on July 17 I go in for surgery! I'll be at Virginia Mason in Federal Way, WA and my surgeon is Jeffrey Hunter. 

 

Holy crap; it feels so unreal. 

CONGRATS!

My surgery in on July 23rd. When I got the call that I was approved, I was so excited and nervous that I was shaking.

Congratulations!!! I live in Lynnwood, WA. We're not too far apart from each other. I'm 4 months post-op as of yesterday & down 94 lbs. so far. It hasn't been easy by any means. I've vomitted way more X's than I ever thought I would. There have been some long days in my journey but even with that being said I still would have the surgery every time. I hope that your journey is nothing but smooth sailing.

Thank you! I feel very fortunate to have a VM Center of Excellence so close to my home. The thought of having to drive to Seattle for every appointment (and pay for parking) really didn't appeal to me at all.
