I don't know of you can call this a NSV but I just had a waitress comp part of my meal because she thought I didn't enjoy it. I explained that everything was great and I just don't eat a whole lot. She probably thought I was lying because I'm still big. Down 30 lbs in 2.5 weeks though.

Haha, this keeps happening to me too!  It doesn't get comped, but I have to reassure the wait staff that there was no problem, and I just have a small appetite.  The rest of the table gets a kick out of it!

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago minus the money compensation that is.  I went to a local restaurant and didn't get anything to drink which is common for me.  Then I ordered a bowl of chili.  It was some of the best chili I have had.  It is made with pork, beef, and veal.  Yum.  Anyway I ate about half of the bowl (perhaps half a cup worth by my estimate) and then stopped as I was full.  Perhaps a little over full as it was really good.  My friend continues to eat and the waitress comes back to the table several times to check  on us and sees my friend enjoying his food and me not eating.  I noticed that she kept looking at me as if I was not happy with my food seeing that I wasn't eating it.

On the next visit to our table I explained that I had surgery and wasn't able to eat more and was fast to say that I was enjoying the chili very much.  I followed up with a request for a to go container and she seemed happier / relieved about this.  On the way out she told me that she hoped I was feeling better soon ... lol.

I went on a cruise about four months post op.  I couldn't get through a dinner without some comment on how little I ate.  It just amuses me now.  Congrats on your loss!

Lol! I'd count it as an NSV! i know what you mean - wait staff gets really confused when i only eat a fraction of my food!
