I caught a glimpse of the pile of meat he had to eat and my stomach actually heaved a bit.  I've never been a hotdog fan but I definitely have a different view of this type of "contest" now!

I used to love hot dogs Frisco but ever since surgery they make my stomach turn upside down. I it yesterday and I had to turn my head so I would not get sick. We had bbq ribeyes and I ate about 3 oz. and that was all I could handle. My son is a butcher and he brought home 3 ribeyes that weighed 1 pound each, I have steak for four days now, lol. Glad you had a good fourth of July.

You survived what you thought would kill you. Now straighten your crown and go forward like the Queen you are!

I agree with MacMadame...it's a competition, and that's all some people need to hear LOL.  put two ants together fighting, and someone will call it a sport :)

I assume he doesn't eat like that year round, or he'd be much bigger.....

We stayed away from the unsupportive side of the family, as the entire weekend (4 days) revolves around food, and they do not accommodate for us, we've had to bring our own food in the past.  so, no problem for us this holiday.   You're lucky your bro keeps you in mind!

hope everyone had a great holiday/weekend to come!

I've always been repulsed by eating contests. I've done my share of binge eating, but it was done in secret, in shame. It was not celebrated. Plus I think eating contests are offensive to the majority of the planet that is starving. But I guess it's not my place to judge competitive eaters.

Glad your brisket was good; that sounds amazing.

I love brisket.  I bet you are having a fantastic breakfast today.

I can't even look at the hot dog guy, it really grosses me out and makes my stomach clench.

I am glad you hag a great 4th.  I was stupid and didn't wear sunscreen at the Beach, now I look like a very cute lobster.  :)  Ouch.
