Hello I don't post here much but I do follow the boards. I just wanted to share that I can now shop at Walmart. I am down to a 48 waist from a 60 in seven months. I am also now a 3x instead of a 5 to 6x. This is a big deal to me because Casual Male is so expensive. I was able to get underwear and three pair of shorts for 65 bucks. The old me would have spent that on one pair of shorts and underwear at Casual Male. I am not perfect by any means but have lost 105 pounds in 7 months and am getting into lifting weights. I am working on losing about 90 to 100 pounds more. I am 6 foot tall and thinking 225 is a good weight for me because I have a large frame. My primary says 250 and then go from there. So my current goal is to get below 300 which I am at 318 right now. So I have rambled enough I just wanted to give new people the knowledge that this surgery does work.

Congratulations on your success.  You are doing a great job being down 100 pounds in 7 months.  I was also wearing a 5x, and now I'm in a 2x.  It didn't feel real until I put on that 2x and it fit.

Great work.  You should be proud of yourself.  it take a lot of commitment and determination to do this

Best wishes,

Carol

i see dr.desimone did your sleeve. i went to him a couple of years ago and was going to get the ds but my insurance screwed it up. a couple years later i got different insurance and got in done at highland. i liked desimone he was a nice man but his coordinator was horrible at ever getting back to me.

i'm right there with ya.  buying 5-10$ tshirts instead of 20-30$ ones is a big deal.  especially when you are losing weight and they only last a few months!  I actually had to restrain myself when i hit 3x ... and now 2x is on the horizon (with a compression undershirt anyway).  it's great.  :)

grats on your progress thus far! and good luck with the weights.
