This is true.  For me, a hardcore workout where I can barely walk afterwards means it looks like I just got locked in a hot sauna for 24 hours...

Ahhhh.  Ummmm.  I don't look cute BEFORE my workout!  LOL!  For me, if my shirt isn't a soaking wet sloppy mess and my hair doesn't look like it's been slicked down with Brylcream (yes, I'm that old!), I haven't worked hard enough!

I've never been accused of looking cute at any time... today especially - 5h30m, 75 mile ride in 90+ degree temps.  I drank absolutely as much fluid as I could and still lost 8 lbs... I was looking a little bedraggled at the end.

I don't look cute at the begining middle or end of a workout. I will add that replacing my Fitbit with an HRM allowed me to see my workouts in a new light. Perceived exertion is not always correct.
