VSG with

Hi, I would like to know what prior test are usually required before VSG. Will they order Blood test that checks for Blood Clots.

I had a CBC and an upper GI Barium test, but I've read about others having a swallow test plus individual tests based on personal comorbidities. It varies WIDELY by surgeon. Contact your surgeon's office and ask :)

Chrissy, thank you I have my 2nd consultation end of Aug. I chickened out 2 1/2 years ago and now starting all over. I will ask that question.

VSG on 11/21/12

I had to have a venous Doppler ultrasound of both legs. My understanding was that it was looking for blood clots.
