Major milestone reached!

I've been waiting for this day.....the day I reached the HALFWAY mark to goal.   I was 218 when I was sleeved (down from 235 at initial consult) so I set my initial goal at 135, which puts me just into the "healthy" BMI category.   So I need to lose 83 lbs. to get there.   Today the scale said I am 41.5 lbs. down, which means 50% of my excess body weight is gone - hurray!!

I have a feeling that I may adjust that goal weight to 130 to give myself a little room between "healthy" BMI and "overweight".  But for now I am feeling good.  I seem to be dropping about 2 lbs. per week, which is fine with me as a lightweight and a shorty (5'2").

And yesterday I was told that I'm looking all healthy-and-glowy, whicn was really nice to hear.  I've told my husband to be ruthless with me and let me know if I start looking gaunt or like a cancer-patient.  I've had friends with WLS that ended up looking that way - ugh!

Thanks to the OH family for passing on great advice and providing encouragement on this incredible journey.  You all rock!
