OK I wasn't going to post this but as I'm sitting here doing absolutely NOTHING,
My teeth started bleeding..I have noticed for about a month or so this has been happening when I brush my teeth..but just doing nothing...ridiculous!!
Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Usually a sign of low vitamin C. I've had some bleeding with flossing issues myself.

My peridontal disease has been worse since surgery. Whick is a real pain (literally) with all the chewing I do.  I have started taking 1000 mg of Vitamin C every day. I also have been using one of those  water flossers.  If I am faithful with the flosser things are ok, if not my gums get really sore.

Thanks for posting this....I've noticed my gums bleeding horribly when I brush post-op and thought I was imagining things......Its nice to know that maybe my thinking wasn't crazy.

scurvy is what you have , low vit c and it will do a lot more harm than just bleeding teeth   eat and orange and call your pcp

you need to be treated as soon as possible

I'm glad the previous posters have seemed to solve this one for you. Bleeding gums sound kind of scary.

Lately I have been concerned about the affect my eating may have on my dental health. Since we have to wait awhile after eating to drink, I've noticed that excess food just sits there in my teeth. Gross. I bet this makes me more prone to cavities. I've been rinsing my mouth out after meals...I hope that is enough.
