Think Small, Eat Small..... Be Small......
I see more and more people eating to much and wondering why the weight doesn't come off or regain happens.....
You have to eat small to be small !!!! (of the right foods)
The trend of the last couple of years as more and more insurance companies now approve the VSG........ and more and more surgeons new to the procedure are making them......... LARGE SLEEVES.........
This becomes important for everyone but maybe more important for the larger sleeve folks.
Are you doomed??? HELL NO !!!!
Will you have to try harder...... probably.....
The one thing that that can help you out is to "Eat Small" Satiety can occur with a very small amount of food.......
Always under eat your sleeve capacity !!!!!
With any sleeve you can gradually start eating more and more as time goes on...... bigger sleeve..... bigger capacity because more stretchy tissue is retained.
Don't get fooled by that pen photo that floats around every so often...... that is bull**** and doesn't tell the whole story.
Now a few are going to chime in and say I have a 42f and can only eat 4oz. Well great!!! That's because you take care of your sleeve and eat proper portions of the right foods !!!! Congrats, your doin it !!!!
Eat small....... add a meal if you need to make up for some numbers.......
Advantages for eating small:
- Keeps the over eating repercussions to a minimum.
- Keeps your restriction nice and tight.
- Preserve restriction for the long haul.
- Better WL & easier maintenance.
Why eat small to be small.......?
100 calories above your balance point everyday for one year is a 10lbs. regain.
Think small, eat small..... be small......

This is so true ... 'cause I'm speaking from experience! (about the regain part ... )
And just like before surgery ... as we diet and limit quantities, we feel our tummys shrink (cuz I remember that) ... I've felt the same applies to our newer sleeved tummies. As I've started to eat less again, I find I am wanting to eat less too but yes ... big key here ... under eat our sleeves ... the sooner we do this the better.
I know it's a pain in the ass, especially when we feel like we cannot eat much in the first place & want to enjoy ever bite of food. I find that when I don't inhale my food & I'm taking the time to enjoy it, we are a lot more satisfied with the smaller quantity. I don't always like eating so little but it is what it is.
I'm trying to think small to be small ... yeeeessssssss.

Jenn, I always find your posts to be so inspiring...you share your wisdom and what you've learned and never shy away from letting us know your struggles which helps people more than you could ever realize! It keeps things real for me anyway and makes me realize just how fragile this whole process really is and how much work it takes. Thank you!!
