Its funny that I haven't had anything I considered an NSV in really a couple of months. I thought I had likely heard them all. In the past week I have had like 10. Today was by far the best accomplishment though. We had a timed 1 mile run this morning to assess our peak performance. Now the best time in the class is over a minute faster so I am not breaking any club records here but since last week I ran at an 8:30 pace for a mile, this week I shave almost a minute off that time. My time was 07:39 for the mile. I am pleased.

I also had one yesterday when I had a plastic surgery consult and told the doctor I had lost 177 lbs and he couldn't believe it because he would have expected my stomach to be much worse than it was.

I was called buff last week by one of my wife's friends who I happen to have a bit of a crush on.

I posted a progress pic to my friends and family on FB last week and got a whopping 60+ likes and comments.

I have friends who are fit and exercise nuts asking me for advice on diet and exercise.

So many I can't remember them all.

Oh my gosh, Keith -- under an 8-minute mile is AMAZING!   You are a true testimony to what real fitness and athleticism can look like after WLS.

That's awesome, Keith! There is something about running that I just LOVE.  Maybe its the fact that even some thin and average weight people can't do it but now we can! But a 7:39 minute mile?!?! That's amazing!!

Keep expecting the NSVs to continue.  I see posts from people 5+ years out that are still having them. Recognizing them will keep us in this fight, I think. Congrats on a great week!
