Vanity goals, anyone?

So I spend all my time with everyone I've discussed my surgery with talking about the reason I'm having this surgery (being healthy, avoiding T2D, potentially relieving my intracranial hypertension, keeping up with my son, being around for his future), but I never feel comfortable talking about my secret vanity goals - those NSVs (or maybe even some number wins) that might seem silly to anyone else, but would feel like such a win for me. Here are a few things I am almost afraid to hope to achieve, seeing as I have never been less that obese in my adult life:

To be able to borrow/loan/share clothes with friends.

To be able to wear an actual Halloween costume.

To be able to shop for clothes in any department other than plus sizes.

To see that number on the scale start with a 1.

What am I leaving off? What are/were some other people's vanity goals?

hi Annie. I was on the site a few nights ago and started looking into setting up some goals on my homepage and found some really different goals that people have. I set up some grown up goals then for fun I wanted to set up some fun goals. I set up a goal to wear skinny jeans with knee high boots! Nope... your goals aren't vane. They are tools for you to reach your goals. Have fun with them)

My dream too! I reached that goal 4 weeks out of surgery, does it look as good as I would like yet... Nope but every day gets better and better!! I tried on literally every pair of boots in Avenue one day Bc I could finally zip them! Good luck!!!

At this point I forget so many of the little NSVs but wanted to say that all the things you mentioned are easily achievable with a sleeve. You won't be disappointed.

This is totally embarrassing and beyond vain but my secret goal is to be a MILF.  I know I'll never get there without plastics but I can honestly say that when I go somewhere with my 15 yr old son and I'm wearing skinny jeans and high boots, he doesn't mind being seen with me anymore!

It's not vain! I know I have goals that are purely for my self esteem, which can be through the floor about my weight, and I have felt embarrassed about my weight most of my life. Our emotional well being is important, too!
