I never mention a person's weight.  Personally, I think it's rude to do so.  Perhaps your friend feels the same way.  I wouldn't let it bother me.

I agree with the other posters, she mighty not have known what to say and didn't want to say the wrong thing or sound rude.

At least she didn't ask you, "So.. When did you have your baby?" Lol, boy was that awkward.

But I agree. She probably didn't want to be rude by focusing on your weight.

Why wouldn't you bring it up yourself? Why put it on someone else? Own it. It's your weight loss...not hers. Don't make others guess as to why you're smaller.....

I know you may not believe me, but you're eventually going to get to a point where you're just fine with people not commenting. I've lost a total of 120#, and have been stable for several months, so my current weight just feels and looks like "me" to me, so I'm a bit startled now when people comment. (Goofily enough it's now the hubbies of my friends that are saying "wow, you look really great!" It feels kinda weird, to be honest)

I had to lose over 100 pounds before most people noticed and started commenting.  Sometimes people notice but aren't sure how to comment on weight and be polite.  Try not to let it affect you.  You are doing great, and you know it, and soon people will start to notice, too.

best wishes,

Carol

Thank you all ladies, your comments made me think and some made me laugh too (had the baby, lol), I am o.k. with it today.  I think a lot of you were right on track about her trying to be polite and not bring it up.  I think that she found out I had the surgery from my brother (who is a friend) and I believe he might of told her that I was trying to keep it a secret, so perhaps, just perhaps she didn't feel she should mention it.  Thanks to all of you wonderful sisters in WLS *****sponded.
