A mixed day... felt good, felt bad

Yesterday, my husband and I drove to Ventura to check out some consignment shops. We have holiday parties coming up, and given that I have very little left in my closet -- nothing dressy -- I needed to find something to wear and didn't want to pay full price. :-) I looked online and found that there were half a dozen consignment shops on Main Street alone in Ventura.

So, we went down and started at one end of Main Street, walked our way to the other end, and back. It was about three miles total, and this made me feel good in a couple ways. One, the fact I didn't think twice about walking that far. Two, I walked it without feeling out of breath, tired, or overheated for doing it. It wasn't an easy walk, very hilly, and on the way back we were walking straight into very heavy wind.

I also felt great when I went into the shops and was able to look at clothing in sizes I haven't bought in years. So, when we headed home I felt great!

Then I went shopping for some new underthings, and my day went downhill.

I have found I like very much how I look in my new clothes. But, I would be happy to never see myself without clothing ever again.

So by the end of the day, my good mood was gone again.

Gail - I understand completely about not liking the way we look naked.  Something I continue to work on.  Glad you had a good day shopping!
