Green Tea has many health benefits and its very good for burning fat.

"It's the healthiest thing I can think of to drink," says Christopher Ochner, PhD. He is a research scientist in nutrition at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. "Green tea is beyond a super food."

Weight loss

Green tea can help increase and even change your metabolism, so you burn more calories from fat. Studies show that green tea can also help you keep weight off once you’ve lost it.

It's also a smart swap for sugary drinks. "All things being equal, if you sub 1-2 cups of green tea for one can of soda, over the next year you'd save over 50,000 calories," says Ochner. That's more than 15 pounds.

I drink matcha tea every day!  Love how it makes me feel.  Me mom had Rny in 04 and has been successful but she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 3 years ago.  She had been paying over $1000 every 3 months for her cymbalta then 9 months ago she stopped drinking ALL artificial sweeteners.  She immediately could tell a difference in her energy levels and overall "well being"  about 5 months ago she discovered matcha and since drinking it daily she is off ALL prescription meds and most important she is PAIN FREE.  I'm usually a skeptic but I'm telling you, I LOVE it!   Not all green teas and not all matcha green teas are created equal so you must do your homework.

Hello,
I find this interesting and intend to do a little research...I, too, have fibromyalgia. I never have used artificial sweeteners, with the exception of Stevia during the small window of time I actually worked the sleeve plan. I had been diagnosed years prior so no connection there, for me.

However, I wonder if the matcha could still be of aid to me? Do you know, off hand, what the properties are--I am assuming it is sourced from a plant, do you know its origin?

Thank you,

M

Part of my new  2014 Fat Burning plan 4 cups of  green tea and at least one serving of greek ypogurt per day. Not sure if I can stop the splenda. Wonder how many calorie honey has instead of the spenda
