Had to call the doctor today!

I'm still not feeling well with all of the feeling and sounds going on in my stomach.  I can't even get a 16oz bottle of water down in a day nor can I get more than 20 grams of protein down.

I was so comfortable last night and today that I just had to call my surgeon.  He explained that it's the fluids, air/gas that is moving around in my stomach and it could be comfortable.  Before today, I hadn't had a bowel movement.  So today I took some milk of magnesia and OMG, I can't stay at of the bathroom.  It helps to coat my stomach so I will have to keep taking it so that I can start to feel better.

With all of them going on, I still love my sleeve!

Try sipping Isopure. Doesn't taste fantastic but definitely doable. It provides 40 grams of protein while helping to get your fluids in. Hope you feel better soon. I'm sure you will:)

I tried the Isopure but it's no better.  I'll keep trying to get as much in as I can.  Thanks

Slowly - very very slowly - I didn't try proteins my first week - only clear liquids (and that was so hard).  2nd week full liquids (including protein shakes) hard to get more than just  a little down at first. (1 oz or 1.5)   4th week introduced soft foods (yogurt, scrambled egg - tuna with mayo).  Drinking is much better now 4 weeks +5 days. - My first day getting more than 64 oz. = today.

That first week - had such constipation and mixed powered "gentle" laxative.  No gentle about what was happening.  Someone I read - liquids in, liquids out - and the line from "Bucket List"  Never trust a fart.

It got some better but dealt with constipation as I add solid food.  Not going to try the "gentle" stuff again.

Wow, maybe I will just stick with clear liquids for another week.  Tea seems to help so I try to get that in.

try using some gas x strips. they helped me get rid of that rumbling feeling so i was able to get some fluids. Also if the cold stuff doesn't go down try lightly warmed broth, it soothed my stomach a lot. hang in there it gets better.
