Driving post-op and during pre-op diet

I didn't drive until two weeks post op. I didn't even get out of the hospital until the 4th post op day, so I still had narcotics in my system for a few days. I wasn't dizzy so much and loopy. My cognitive function was really off until about 14 days, presumably from the anesthesia and narcotics. By 2 weeks I was up to snuff and I've been driving ever since with no problems. Oh, except I was distracted yesterday, speeding and blew right through a red light!    Thankfully, no cars were coming because that would have been a spectacular crash.
