I Worked Out Today! Did You? - Tuesday
I did a really hard 1 hour Orange Theory this morning. Just to give you and idea of some of the crap we had to do try double squat burpees, clap pushups, back lunge bench hops. Are you picking up what I'm putting down? Oddly I only burned 512 calories this morning. I am also shooting for 10,000 steps today so I will very likely be walking/jogging this evening.
I am going to stop using the weather (-13) as an excuse!!!! I will get to the gym tonight before work!!!!!

To answer your question what that means is while you may not be losing pounds because you are retaining water or your body is in sort of a catch up mode that your body is still processing body fat. So your body fat is still going down, you may also be toning up muscle. You will get to a point where your fat loss rate drops and your muscle build rate is rising and they may actually meet at some point. When this happens things like your butt and waist actually shrink because your muscle is tightening and toning and the fat is coming down but the weight is being replaced with muscle and muscle is far more dense than fat so it doesn't take a whole lot of muscle to replace a fair amount of fat.
I took your advice and started strength training yesterday! Ouch! Feeling the good hurt today!
Any advice for leg day? I have a power rack at home but no leg machines. I know squats and lunges. Anything else?
