so far I'm a fan of the SIGG bottles. Pretty much any light, aluminum, sealable bottle is what I use. I don't like plastic bottles- water never stays cold, tastes funny, and reminds me of the hospital bottle. Ugh. The metal keeps things cold and for some reason tastes cleaner to me. it's probably in my head, but I'm ok with that.
I have picked them up at dollar stores too, I have them laying all over.

Heh, even if it is in your head, if it works it works, right? :)

I've never been a fan of the metal bottles because of the taste, so I must be weird! I love the wide-mouth Nalgene bottles, they're SUPER sturdy, wash like a charm, and don't add any taste to the water.
When I was in college in Oregon, everybody had one and covered them in stickers-- mine had one for the college radio station where I DJ'ed, Spider-Man, peace signs (this was right after 9/11), marriage equality rainbows... Yeah, Portlanders love them because they're awesome for outdoorsy stuff, but I've found it super helpful for drinking all my water post-op :)

My favorite water bottle is hands down the 32 oz wide mouth Nalgene bottle. It lets you easily get your water in, is BPA free (no weird taste or harmful chemicals), and is very rugged! I have some that I've had for about 6 years. I just ordered myself a new one as a cheesy preop reward for myself!
