180 to lose?
My stats are above right in my post here and also below in my signature. I lost 18 lbs preop and the rest postop.
It is quite doable if you stick to your rules and dedicate yourself to getting your life back.
Nope. I lost 18 lbs between 7/09/12 (first surgeon consult) and the day before my surgery, which was on 11/21/12. I lost the rest of my excess weight (175 lbs) from 11/21/12 through 12/13/13. The August 2013 date is when I hit my first goal, which was my surgeon's goal for me. Then I kept going until I hit my second and ultimate goal, which was to achieve a BMI in the "normal" range. I've been in maintenance since 12/13/13.
I have lost over 150... so not quite that much, but in the ballpark at least. I am 6'2''. My ticker shows my monthly progress. I am quite confident that if I wanted to lose an additional 30 I could have. The last 30 likely would have taken another 5-6 months though, as the loss rate did slow a bit toward the end there.
