After a long weekend off and some not so great eating I was very happy to get back to working out this morning. Endorphins are really flowing this morning. This week I am trading my coffee for green tea. I would like to see if I see any kind of drop this week. Green tea is supposed to have a metabolism boost as well as a great source of antioxidants. This weekend added about 3lbs to the scale this morning so I want it gone by Wednesday so that means a bunch of green zone cardio and some heavy weight lifting for me this week.

This morning was 1 hour of Orange Theory with a different trainer than normal so got a bit of a different workout and it was pretty good. I am planning to get 30 mins in the gym this evening and if I can find a way to squeeze it in before my early bed time maybe a run too. If you want to play hard you have to pay hard!

I worked out today...what did you do?

Week 6 day 1 of Couch to 5K.   Compared to what you did, my sounds piddly, but believe me.. it was a workout for me!  :)     5 minute brisk walk, 5 minute jog, 3 minute brisk walk, 8 minute jog, 3 minute brisk walk, 5 minute jog, and then 5 minute walking cool down.

That's great! I started with C25k, its a great program and it works. Keep with it. You are actually over the hump. The hardest weeks for me were 3 and 5 after that they were all pretty good. I think by week 6 you learn to listen to the queues in your headphones rather than keep looking to see how much time you have.

Got a 4 mile run and a vinyassa class in my future.  I so much prefer the morning workouts, but had to go to for my follow up this morning.  This at least gives me something to look forward to during the work day.

btw - running gets SO much easier when you drop a bunch of weight.
