After workout eating
The concept of late night eating being bad for you is only true because typically people make poorer food choices later in the evening. Even though digestion slows when you sleep (as do other processes) your total calorie intake versus output is what matters, not what time of day you ate it. That said, late night eating CAN cause problems like heartburn, insomnia, asthma complications, and weight gain/obesity is considered related due to those poor food choices.
The best thing for a post workout snack is something pretty high in protein with some good complex carbs, but I don't know if I would do that right before going to bed. Maybe eat, then shower, do anything else you need to before bed. That way you don't complicate your life with reflux or insomnia.
