Sleeved!
I survived! Surgery went really well and my doc seemed pleased when he spoke to my family!
I can definitely tell that I've had surgery. Sore incision sites and all, but I haven't needed to take my pain meds as frequently as I can because, really, I'm feeling quite fine 12 hours out. I had some pretty bad nausea right away, but I told my nurses about it and they got me fixed up before any vomiting happened.
My pain aside from my throat is like a 1. My throat is a 70 billion. But I asked if there was anything I could have for that and managed to get chloraseptic!! Oh happy day :) I get one spray every other hour and it seems to be helping. The mouth swabs are nice too.
I've been walking laps around my hospital wing. I've increased the number each hour, so I'm feeling on top of things. I have a nice private room (they all are at this hospital) which has a couch and a comfy chair!
I think that's everything! My partners will be heading home after my 9pm goals are met and then one will come back in the morning to be with me and then take me home once I'm approved. I know I've got my leak test and, with the way hospitals tend to be, I figure I'll be here until the afternoon.

Glad to hear that it all went well, Gwen! Isn't our doc super nice? I really like him. Sorry to hear about your sore throat. That comes from being intubated during the surgery. It will go away soon. You should be able to get jello and broth tomorrow, which will feel good on your throat. Good for you for getting so much walking in -- that's great! I was the same way at the hospital. I ended up staying a second day, though, because my pain was very high.
By the way, I hope your kitty is doing well. ((Hugs))
Ann
Glad everything went well! Welcome to the bench!
