First day of my second week

For the first month or so post-op, I was FREEZING... and I live in Arizona! Go figure!

I think part of it is because we're losing insulation, and also because as things change the body has to adjust its circulation patterns, especially to the extremities. Make sure you're wearing socks to bed- two pairs if you need to- I found that helped a lot. Two layers of jammies, too! Drinking something warm before bed helps as well, decaf tea or warm broth are good options.

Thanks for the advice! I did end up putting socks on last night.. I sleep nude and clearly I need to change that.

If I had know sleeping nude was something I'd need to give up, I might have given the surgery a second thought ;)

Our stats are like identical! I'm 5'4", HW was 319, surgery weight was 293, Current weight 287, and I had surgery 3/10. Pretty close!

Congratulations on your surge. I had my surgery on Tuesday and 2 days post op.  I am in a lot of pain from gas and really cannot wait til it passes.  I have heard you get really cold after surgery, I hope it doesn't get too bad

Well, I'm certainly glad that I don't have to hide under a chair.  Congrats on the weight loss!

I was a person who was always hot.  I have the air register in my office set to MEAT LOCKER temperature.  People walk in and comment how cold it is.

Now, I'm freezing all the time.  I have a portable floor heater in my office that I run almost all day.  It's 80 degrees outside and I'm still cold.  It's part of the weight loss, possibly being in ketosis.  I'd rather be cold than hot since it's easier to adjust external temperatures.

I am 15 days post op and my feet have been cold every night.  For the first time in 52 years, I have started to sleep with socks.  The strange thing is that I have had a couple of other surgeries and have never experienced getting cold before!
