I tried posting a picture and once again it came out sideways.  I even flipped it around before posting, but no go, still sideways.  I would love any suggestions on how to fix it.

You are right, some things are not for publication.  :)  Call me anytime.

Thank you Diane, for the lovely compliment.  I think it is just really hard to get our heads around some of the smaller numbers on the scale and to realize that normal weight is much smaller than the national average.  I am still completely healthy at this weight, but Dr. Cirangle is talking about my future and about my mind set.  I love his hard core philosophy, it has worked beautifully for me so far and I need to listen to him.

I agree with your doctor but for a different reason. If you had consciously decided to gain the weight and worked toward it then I would say stay there. But, I have never gotten the feeling from your past posts about these 7 lbs that it was something you planned. Unplanned weight gain, whether is looks good on you or not, is still no different than the folks who come onto this forum with gain that just sort of happened. We see their posts all of the time. It means they are focusing on the wrong things. Time to start focusing on the right ones, imo.

You know that I say this with absolute love and adoration for you. I don't want any newbies who don't know us thinking that I am not 100% in Camp Elina. You can slap me for all of my frankness whenever we finally meet. :-)

I've stalked you for 2+ years now, and if history is any proof, at some point you are going to do some self-reflection and possibly come to the conclusion that you are justifying this weight gain. Maybe you already have. Then, in 3 days, you will lose it and keep it off for another 4+ years and I can go back to being violently jealous of how easily you lose weight.

Don't satiate yourself with the compliments of others. You love how you feel at 105 lbs. You've maintained it for years. It's a good weight for you.

On a side note - I shall now have to practice what I preach and keep heading toward my goal. I will do it kicking and screaming with many whiny temper tantrums. But, I will keep going. Why? I have no ******g idea.

As usual, I just plain love you.  You are right on target (as usual) and I agree with you 100%.  Now back to kicking your butt into gear...:)  Just kidding, don't hit me.

Would you do me a favor, would you read my response to White Dove and see if I am making a bit more sense to you? I am trying to do just what you suggested and put into words what my doctor's advice was really all about and make the necessary changes.  I still haven't fully decided on the specific changes that need to be made.  I am stubborn and seem to be stomping my foot and wanting to continue what I am doing.  You always give it to me straight.  (and I love you for it).

I am saddened when I read some of the postings by the vets. Come on guys! I am the same height as Elina. I would never be able to get down to 105 due to the fact that I am muscular. I know what a good weight for me and no one will be able to change my mind. I don't follow all those guidelines. I follow what is right for me and my health. I will probably never share what that weight will be because I don't want to be attacked! The newbies comment was valid and could have been handled with much more kindness. Our concepts of weight are very mixed up. What I know is that we are all able to weigh what we want to weigh. I welcome the posting of the vets however even some of us who are new in the process have information, knowledge, and experiences of value. Lets all respect each other. Knowledge is power and it should always be used to inform and build people up!

I'm confused. You don't want someone telling you what you should weigh and you don't want to be attacked (and you shouldn't be) yet you're defending the previous poster for an attack on what Elina wants to weigh. Like you said, we should all be able to weigh what we want. So, given this is how you feel... I'm curious as to why you would defend someone that told Elina that "105 seems emaciated, malnourished, and anorexic?"

If Elina wants to weigh 105, that is her prerogative. It seems to me the previous poster was the one that did not handle her post with kindness - instead of questioning her target weight with concern, she stated, as if it were fact, that anyone at her height would be "emaciated, malnourished, and anoxeric" at that weight.

This was not information or knowledge... it was one person's ignorant opinion. Elina is not telling other people that they have to weigh 105 if they are her height, so why would anyone attack you if you set your goal higher?

I didn't tell you that this is something you need to do.  Please don't be saddened by me realization.  It is my journey and is true for me.  You might be in a different place.  Muscular is good, if by muscular you mean 30 extra pounds, maybe (or not) you are rationalizing extra weight.  Even if you are rationalizing, it's still your journey and your choice.   I can only share my view from where I sit, only you know what is really best for you.
