Home again.
Hi all,
I'm home from my Mediterranean cruise. Happy and healthy! The good news is: I was able to keep up with all the tours. I could climb 100 ++ stairs to visit the archeological sites, Monestaries and churches. No problem. I have a picture on my profile of the seat belt on the plane. No seat belt extenders for me, any more! This is the BEST NSV!
I did ok with the food. For most of the trip, I'd stay on plan for breakfast and lunch, but dinners were more formal and there were long periods waiting for meals with only bread and butter on the table. After a few days, I succumbed to eating a roll with dinner and that led to other carbs. But I'm thinking that breaking the diet for special occasions may just have to be part of the plan. As long as I can get back to my routine most of the time, I will be ok.
I missed you all here on OH. I hope you are all well and happy.
Check out the photos on my profile. I included a few pictures from the trip with me and lots of ancient ruins, as well as the requisite "seat belt" photo. What an adventure it was!
best wishes,
Carol

Welcome back and congrats on managing your food while away. I followed a similar philosophy while on vacation and it took me a couple of weeks to get things back in routine and the couple of pounds I gained off...but now I know I can do it. :-) As can you!
I enjoyed the pics. They had me longing for when I was in Turkey at Ephesus.
