My favorite has always been salmon nigiri! But THIS looks amazing. Throw on some eel sauce and I'll be drooling!

I noticed after I posted this pic that the tuna appears to be slightly seared on the outside.  I'd still eat it.  ALL OF IT.  Well, I wish.

I had a major sushi food funeral pre-op also. I'm glad to know that It's not gone forever!

OMG now I'm craving sushi!!! Not going to have any until I'm at least two months out... I totally had one HUGE sushi funeral before surgery. Well sushi and sashimi... the thing about overeating at a sushi bar is somehow although you feel super full, you never feel disgusting afterwards. Not that I'm planning on overeating now when I go... =P

Hey Chrissy!  I used to live in Chattanooga and Sekisui was my absolute favorite place to eat!  I ate there every single Friday.  It is A-Mazing!

My favorite rolls were Team Mexico, Salmon press, Dexter, and Volcano and their yellowtail sashimi is better than what I have had at some of the high end places here in Vegas!    Jun, one of the sushi chefs, is awesome.  I miss Sekisui!!  Probably better I am not still there though, my favorite rolls are not very postop friendly.

Yes!! Sekisui is still around. It moved to the south side about a year ago. My new favorite place is a little hole in the wall in Hixson just past the "S" curves called Rice Boxx. It's WAY cheaper than Sekisui, but SOOOO good!!

I love both sushi and sashimi.  My daughter never tried it before, but was curious.  I told her to order a "California Roll", which is avocado, cucumber and a little bit of those fake crab leg things, wrapped up in rice. It's sushi without the "fish" thing going on.  I felt it was the safest roll for her to try on her first time.  She's hooked now, and she's expanding her favorite list.
