Sizing frustratiosn - so petty!!

I'm a little over 5'8 and have this problem too, I'm still wearing my old pants and only have one pair of 14 (which is my current size), but in shirts/blouses I'm a medium and in some cases large. I have a big bottom/thighs so I know that's the culprit. Sigh, but I do remember when I was 190 in 8th grade I wore size 14 so, I guess I'll have to get used to things fitting me differently, at least now I have different clothing choices because there's lots in those sizes.

Have you ever seen this site:  My Body Gallery

This was a helpful thing for me to see when I had the same thoughts as you about my size.

I have never seen that site.  Thank you for sharing!!!  That is amazingly helpful in seeing myself as others see me.

You are most welcome.  It has helped me to see what I might look like once I get to goal.

I know what you mean. I an 5'3" and 205 lbs. (Was 215 a couple weeks ago but have lost from the preop diet.). A size 20 is tight on me. My weight is disproportionately in my belly. Two more days till surgery!

Sounds like my sisters complaint.  She's an apple and her stomach is the hardest place to lose. I was a pear, carrying it all in my butt and thighs.  Now that I've lost gravity has changed things but I did lose in the rib cage area first (above the belly button which makes it easier to go down sizes.

You'll get there and I'll tell you what I tell my sister.  Show off those sexy legs, some of us wish we had Tina Turner legs like you do!

In the 180s, I wore a size 16 as well.  I'm in the 150s now and wear 10-12. I don't like pants to be tight; some people don't mind it, though.
