Remarkable...Me really?!

It's been 111 days since my VSG I'm down 62 pounds from 282 to 220...saw my surgeon today for my second follow up visit & he said my loss & progress so far is "remarkable" & that he didn't have to tell me what to do as he could see I was following his directions & that I've "got this figured out."  Of course I said I couldn't have done this or had this kind of progress without him doing the surgery & telling me how to eat & exercise, & I had to hug him & thank him again for giving me my life back.  He thanked me & said my comments made it all worth-while because the office was having a hard time figuring out their new computer system.  My thyroid nodules are also fine & small enough to where I don't need surgery for that & I'm so relieved to not have to face that yet.  His intern came in first & I could hear them talking about me in the hall before they came in the room the intern said that I've exceeded above & beyond in my progress so far.  I AM NOT bragging on myself I'm just so thankful that my surgery was finally insurance approved & that I've got it behind me so I can move on along to the goal I want to hit which is 160-the smallest I've ever been was 128 & at my height almost 5'9 & medium boned I looked too skinny...had my folks really worried way back then.  I just wanted to post about this because I want to give hope to those about to have surgery or considering surgery that it's ALL worth it.  The life-style changes, the exercise, the low carb food choices it's ALL worth being able to finally lose this weight & be healthy.  Go for it if you can without a shred of worry because it's amazing to feel great again.  I know nobody has ever told me that I'm remarkable before so those were some amazing words to hear.

Even if you were bragging on yourself, its ok.  Be proud.  Pat yourself on the back and feel good about yourself.  Congrats!!!!

Thank you, I just hope someone will read my post & just go for it if they've had any doubts about surgery.  My life has completely changed so much for the better already in this short amount of time.  Thank you for your kind reply.

Just wanted to let you know you are definitely inspiring a newbie! I'm just starting the process and seeing you & everyone else have such great success makes me hopeful of my future! Thank you for sharing your journey so far! 

Awe thank you! this kind response touched my heart as much as my Docs kind words did today.  Yeah OH was/is my go to site for inspiration & I read a lot & looked at a lot of before/after pics on here before my surgery.  Good luck on everything with you.

Steph you sure as heck should be bragging you have done remarkable ... and I'm certain all the people who are considering surgery *****ad your posts are much more likely to go ahead with this ... your kindness sincerity and commitment are amazing !!!!! :-)
