Protein Water

After surgery, I have to be on clear liquids for 6 days. I am terrified that during the months after surgery, I will have hair loss, and I don't have that much to begin with.

You scared me for a second... you said carbs and I was like WHAT... just a type-o - I double checked 40 grams of protien (NO CARBS).

I'm sure it will taste like windshield washer fluid but, I eat for nutrition now --- not satisfaction :)

Hahahah sorry about that. I have carbs on the brain LOL.

I found that it did taste like windshield washer fluid.  And since I will always eat for pleasure as well as fuel.. that made it a total no go for me :(  And I'm annoyed that the only way I could get it was in case form.  My partner tried it and it made his heart race - super weird. 

Yikes on the heart racing - I got my case yesterday... I'll use them for target practice if they have that effect on me. 

Otherwise I'll suffer through the taste for the first few weeks after surgery to just keep the protein up.

I've been taking the New Whey protien shots in the morning - OMG - HORRRIBLE taste IMO... but I suck it up and suck it down :) 

I think the hair loss will either happen or not depending on the individual. Getting enough protein is important but it may not stop hair loss (though I have read Biotin will help it grown back in). Cutting it short and in layers could help. I'm not looking forward to it either so I'm looking in to wide headbands.
