Nuts put the carb monkey on my back,
I see now and then in this forum that some people eat a few nuts as a snack, so I figured I would buy some of those little snack bags and put a single serving of almonds and mixed nuts in each one. Then when I pack my lunch, I can pop a bag in my lunch box.
Well I have eaten about four of the bleeping bags! I should have known that I STILL can't have this kind of stuff in the house. Back to "cold turkey" with the salty snacks and carbs...

I'm holding off on them because I think snacking on nuts was part of what caused me to gain and need the surgery. If they're an ingredient in something like green beans and almonds or a spoon of peanut butter I'm ok with that but no more nuts for me otherwise.
Best thing you can do for yourself - identify a problem, and fix it immediately! Good for you!!
While I can and do throw a few almonds or walnuts in my yogurt, for additional protein, I must resist eating them (or peanuts esp!) from the bag. It's that old "hoof to mouth" disease that helped get me obese in the first place. Bad life long habit, but it can be broken. Very happy you know you don't feel safe with nuts in the house.
Keep up the good work!
