What does Maintenance look like for you?
Carol, you sound like you have a great understanding and are on a very correct path !
Most that don't do well in maintenance just plain run out of commitment.....
Maintenance can get boring.... no more huge scale and clothing size drops.... in fact "stall" is a bad word till you get to maintenance than you want a life long stall !
Your thinner..... out and about.....and living life..... very easy to forget about what you "need" to do....
The first year of maintenance should be "for most" about 90% of WL mode, adding a few more fat calories and increase in fiber.
The goal would be to weigh the same or less in one year after the start of maintenace. After that year you will have a much clearer view how longer term "should" go.

Exercise has been severely limited for over 8 months now... can't even get a walk in or I am too sore for work. Hoping after I recover from the next surgery in December that I can finally move better again.
Lingering issues- it will always be sugar for me. My weight is up a bit right now. I think it is for a combination of 3 reasons- first and foremost a little junkfood here and there, then I am back in prediabetic range and dealing with some insulin resistance, and finally my inability to exercise. My calories during the regain period were not any higher than normal, but it started right after my mastectomy and being unable to exercise at all. So, interrelated... but boils down to making poor choices here and there. Still under goal- but not by much.
I still tend to eat the same foods I ate during weight loss. avoid drinking calories unless it is protein shakes, etc. Just have too much sugar sprinkled in now. Back on the wagon I go!
You were so disciplined in your weight loss phase I don't think it will be an issue for you... unless you do make a bad choice and spiral from there because you have yet to develop the "get back on the wagon" skill set given your excellent adherence to plan.
Truly- you have done a splendid job!

pretty much the same thing ... just more. more food, more exercise, more intensity, more activities. All the same safeguards in place, weighing food, tracking, and planning meals. Food choices have changed, more geared to muscle building - which means lots and lots of carbs of all kinds. Fueling and conditioning my body instead of just trying to lose it!
