update on Maintenance
You've done such a great job, Carol, and been such an inspiration!
I had my 1-year checkup today (a little late but couldn't be helped). My instructions for maintenance were pretty basic - keep the calories in equal to the calories out. Guess I'm going to stay on myfitnesspal forever, because I'm not very good at adding it all up in my head.
Thank you all for your kind and encouraging comments. I continue to be amazed that WLS works so well. I wish I had done it decades ago!

Thank you Carol for your wisdom. It's good to hear that getting the righ maintenance plan takes time, and also that once at goal we do not - we CANNOT- go "off" plan. It is taking me some time to get it around my head that this is forever- I need to be conscious of everything I eat, every day.
I will not go back to fat.
