3 months post op
3 months post op where has the time gone. So hard to believe how far I've come in so little time. When I started my journey at 257 I never would have thought that I could be down 46 lbs in 3 months. I'm more than happy with my sleeve now it hasn't been easy I've been trying to fight my cravings and sadly I've given into them a couple times, but I will not let this little hiccup ruin everything I've done so far. 40 lbs down since the day of surgery and people are noticing it's an amazing feeling. Loving the sleeved life!!
Mine was laparoscopic too. After surgery take all the time you need to not only heal but get ready mentally to face your co workers or other people cause at first they will seem excited for you until they see how much "special" treatment you need like eating multiple times a day and keeping up with your water. I'm not sure if that's an issue for you, but it has been one for me. Also don't be afraid to take your pain killers that's what they are for pain I was off work for 2 weeks and was still taking them I didn't feel any pain the whole time just the gas. Walk walk walk and don't stress about protein right off the bat they just want you to stay hydrated at first. If you have any more questions pm me and I'll respond.
Time flies doesn't it?! It seems just a few weeks ago you were getting sleeved. Congrats on your success. It is not so much giving into the cravings as much as how you respond and get back on plan that is most important. In the past, if you were like me, you just said screw it, I have blown it and used that as an excuse to eat worse. Now, it is best to forgive yourself, learn and get back to losing weight. Head hunger is my biggest challenge.

Congrats! We must have had our surgery at the same time mine was 3 months out yesterday. I certainly have learned a lot about myself and about food. It hasn't been easy but it has been worth it! Don't beat yourself up over a cookie, I popped cornbread into my mouth last night when making my son's dinner without thinking about it. When I figured out what i had done I literally chewed it in my mouth before spitting it out HAHA!! Great job on your loss!
