My surgery date is next Wednesday and I am in super stress mode! There is so much stuff I need to get before and I'm afraid I'm going to screw something up. My surgeon had recommended getting an unflavored protein powder like Jay Robb. The only problem is the vitamin shoppe in my town was out. All they had was the unflavored isopure whey protein. Does anyone know if this is okay to use? Thank you in advance for the help!

Hi Melanie ~

I am 6 weeks post op and that is the exact one I use.  I put it in my Crystal lite and love it.  I also have a stash of chocolate Premiere Protein that comes already mixed in an 11oz carton (30grams).  I started the Isopure (26 grams) a couple of months before surgery and tried it in a lot of different flavors of crystal lite but my taste buds changed drastically after surgery and what I liked before surgery I can't stand now.  I hated the strawberry banana flavor, now that's the one I like the most.  It's best if you can buy samples of different kinds so you don't spend too much money on something your not going to like.  I made that mistake now I have a mess of stuff I have to throw out.

The very best of luck to you on your surgery...
