What is your vitamin/mineral intake? Amount? Brand?
I'm a total vitamin junkie, so I take more than I need to, I suppose. My minimum that is outlined by my bariatric MD and my PCP is:
1 multi per day (Centrum), two 500 mg doses of calcium citrate with D3 per day, an additional 2000 iu D3 per day, 4 mg copper (I have low copper levels), 6000 mg Omega 3 (per the PCP, not the bariatric MD).
I also take a vitamin E to help the Omega 3 absorption and an immune booster during the first two months of the school year.
I hope this is just a typo - but you take a dose of 1500mg of calcium 2 x a day?
There are studies that suggest we can only absorb app 500 mg of calcium per dose.. And they need to be spread at least 2 hours apart. Taking 1500 x 2 is over 3000mg or day.. But most of it is really not absorbed. But it can cause constipation...
