It's realllly hard this time for some reason.  I quit when I turned 30 and was fine for a few weeks.   But this time I just want to crawl out of my own skin and BEAT someone!!!  LOL.  But...right now...and I hope I can get myself over this thought...I'm telling myself I can smoke AFTER surgery.  But I'm truly hoping that by then....(october at the earliest) I will hate it and never want to go back. So it sucks...but I'm doing it... Thanks for asking!

I smoked from age 13 to age 40 (I'm 66 now)  What finally made me quit was the realization thatsmoking controlled every aspect of my life.  I'm kind of a control freak myself and I surely wouldn't let a person tell me where I could work, who I could visit, who I could ride with, what I would smell like, where I could vacation and on and on.  I can't tell you what a tremendous relief it is ti be my own boss.  Don't give into temtation.  It will get easier.

Thanks for all the thoughts and words.  Still doing ok.  Not wanting to hurt people anymore.  And another motivation is that my husband 'says' that if I stay quit..he'll follow right along behind me in support.  As it is...he does not smoke in our home or around me at all....
